Via Flaminia Classic
Slow food, fast driving
This year’s edition of the Via Flaminia begins not far from Turin, in what could well be called the heart of Slow Food. We will spend our first two nights at the Albergo dell’Agenzia, once home to the Università di Scienze Gastronomiche, and today the perfect base from which to explore the region.
On our first driving day we will head into the rolling hills of the Langhe, visiting one of the most renowned Barolo wineries before returning to our hotel. The following day we continue east to Tabiano Castello, a place we last visited nearly ten years ago. Here we will once again enjoy two nights in this enchanting setting – a historic castle surrounded by its farmhouses. We will discover the gentle hills of Emilia-Romagna, visit the remarkable Lancia collection of Giorgio Schön, and enjoy his warm hospitality. Our stay will of course include a dinner highlighting the regional culinary specialities.
From Tabiano we make our way towards the hills above Lucca, a wonderful route along the edge of the Apennines with sweeping through-roads and smaller mountain passes. In the hills above Lucca we will have an entire village to ourselves – a truly unique experience.
The journey then continues east to Borgo Condé Wine Resort, a beautiful estate we have visited before and one that combines outstanding wines with fine dining. We will spend two nights here, and on the final day of the rally discover some of the hidden gems of the northern Apennines.

The next day it’s a 90 km drive to the Bologna Airport where we will be collecting your car for transport back to the Nethelands.
You can choose between different classes, depending on how competitive you would like the rally to be. In all cases you will receive a detailed roadbook.
The Bright Class is the most competitive option, with your progress checked via the Rallycheck app.
Alternatively, you can opt for the lighter Shine Class, with less complicated navigational challenges.
The most relaxed way to take part is in the Smile Class, where the full route is provided on an app that you can simply follow.
Whichever class you choose, the rallies organised by Via Flaminia are always known for their relaxed atmosphere and wonderful ambience. You will have plenty of time to take photos or stop for an Italian espresso.
There are 27 places available for cars up to 1980.
For teams with a combined age is under 100, there is a discount of 1% for each year less than 100, with a maximum of 15% (reference year 2027). They may also bring a younger car, one year per 2 years younger than 100.
